Found some larger photos of this thing. Trying to figure out what it is. Whatever it started out as, it was right hand drive.

There is a lot of English on those store fronts. Anyone recognize the origin of the plate?

It looks like a heavily bastardized MG TF kit car. One of the biggest providers of MG TF kits is from New Zealand, and bases the kit on a Miata chassis. Miatas are popular enough kit donors that someone could have stripped it down to the chassis and bolted on parts from 2-3 different kits, resulting in something...special.
